Itinerary 11 nights 12 days
Day 01: Arrive Srinagar
You will be met by our representative at the Srinagar airport. He will assist and transfer you to the deluxe hotel/houseboat. Take rest till evening and in the evening you can take a walk on the Dal Lake.
Day 02: Srinagar-Pahalgam (In pahalgam)
Morning drive to Pahalgam (The valley of shepherds).The total distance is about 96 kms, will be covered in about 3 hours. En-route, visiting the saffron fields of pampore, Awantipura Ruins (1100 years old temple of Lord Vishnu built by the King Awantivarman), and enjoy the beautiful countryside. Also visit the sun temple at Martand. Drive throught the pine forests. Arrive at Pahalgam and enjoy Lidder stream. Later walk along pony trails with a magnificent view of the mountains. Overnight in Pahalgam.
Day 03: Pahalgam (in Pahalgam)
Two hotspots to be visited today are:
1) Aru Valley: is a resort village, located at a distance of 11 km from Pahalgam. Lying at an elevation of 2,408 m, this meadow leads to the famous trek via Lidderwat, extending to Kolahoi Glaciers (36 km) at an altitude of 3,400 m. Travellers visiting Pahalgam can reach this village by travelling
2) Betaab Valley: situated just 7 km up on Pahalgam, has got its name from Sunny Deol’s movie, Betaab, which was shot extensively in this area. Surrounded by snow-covered mountain peaks and dense pine and deodar forests, this valley is the mouth of River Sheshnag. There is a beautiful garden Also visit Chandanwari which is the base camp for Amarnath Pilgrims. Dinner and overnight Stay in Hotel.
Day 4: Pahalgam (in Pahalgam)
Pahalgam Local: After Breakfast Ride along pony trails with a magnificent view of the mountains of Kashmir Valley,Bisaran (mini Switzerland) and Dubian after pony riding In the evening you can visit the local market of Pahalgam and local parks like Poshwan Park & Club Park Dinner and overnight Stay in Hotel.
Day 05: Pahalgam – Achabal –Kokernag- Srinagar
After Breakfast drive back to Srinagar via Achabal Mughal gardens in Anantnag and Kokernag Botanical gardens the most visited tourist spots in Anantnag. On the way visit apple gardens and Sun Temple in Martand. in the evening reach Srinagar overnight in Srinagar Hotel.
Day 06: in Srinagar city: sightseeing
After having breakfast Sightseeing Tour to world famous mughal gardens including: Shalimar, Nishat, botanical gardens, Chesmashahi and Parimahal. Also visit the Dargah Hazratbal and Shankaracharaya temple.Overnight in hotel/houseboat at Srinagar.
Day 07: Srinagar – Sonmarg- Srinagar:
Morning leave for Sonmarg (Meadow of Gold). The distance of about 83 kms, will be covered in about 3 hrs. Sonmarg lies in Sindh Valley streamed with flowers and surrounded by mountains. Sonmarg is also the base for some interesting treks to the high altitude Himalayan Lakes. In the evening drive back from Sonmarg. Dinner and overnight in hotel
Day 08: Srinagar –yousmarg- Srinagar:
Yusmarg or Yousmarg is a hill station in the western part of Kashmir Valley. it is situated 47 km south of Srinagar the capital of the state.
Yusmarg in Kashmiri means The Meadow of Jesus. It is believed by the natives that Jesus came to Kashmir and stayed at Yusmarg for some time. It is an alpine valley covered with snow clad mountains and the meadows of Pine and Fir, It lies 13 km south of Charari Sharief a town of Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir. It is situated at the bank of Doodganga River which is a tributory of Jehlum River. It is a popular tourist destination, nestled within the imposing Pir Panjal peaks, a sub range of Himalaya. The Peaks are: the Sunset Peak and the Tatakooti Peak for which the expeditions lead from this hill station. It lies at an altitude of 2396 metres above sea level. You will be amazed by the stunning beauty of this place. In the evening drive back to Srinagar for an overnight stay.
Day 09: Srinagar –Mansbal- Srinagar:
Manasbal Lake is a lake located in Safapora area of Ganderbal District. Manasbal is said to be a derivative of the Lake Manasarovar Lake is encircled by three villages viz., Jarokbal, Kondabal (also called Kiln place, is situated on the north-eastern side of the lake) and Ganderbal and is stated to be the deepest lake (at 13 m or 43 ft depth) in India. The large growth of lotus (Nelumbo nucifera) at the periphery of the lake (blooms during July and August) adds to the beauty of the clear waters of the lake. The Mughal garden, called the Garoka, (meaning bay window) built by Nur Jahan overlooks the lake.
The lake is a good place for birdwatching as it is one of the largest natural stamping grounds of Aquatic birds in Kashmir and has the sobriquet of “supreme gem of all Kashmir Lakes”. The rootstocks of lotus plant which grows extensively in the lake are harvested and marketed, and also eaten by the local people. In the evening drive back to Srinagar for an overnight stay.
Day 10: Srinagar – Drang_ Gulmarg:
After having breakfast, Morning leave for Gulmarg (Meadow of Flowers) 2730 mts. above the sea level. The distance of 60 kms will be covered in about 2 hours.reach tangmarg where from drang a new tourist spot 3.5 km from Tangmarg, a motorable road leads to this famous picnic spot. A day trip to this destination can be made for enjoying at the Ferozepur nallah ‘river’. Once a Tax collection point for travellers passing into the Valley, ‘Drang’ has now became a favorite tourist spot among visitors who enjoy a get-together over lunch along the riverside. Ancient ruins can also bee seen. In the evening reach Gulmarg. overnight in Gulmarg.
Day 11: in Gulmarg:
Gulmarg has one of the best ski slopes in the world and highest golf course with 18 holes. If weather permits one can also have the view of Nanga Parbat, the naked mountain that is over 26,000 feets and dominates the entire region. You can also have a gondola ride the worlds 2nd highest cable car and visit kongdoori and affarwat peaks. Overnight in hotel at Gulmarg.
Day 12: Departure:
After breakfast drive to airport for onward flight.
